Welcome to Leh, renowned for its high altitude and breathtaking scenery. Upon your arrival at Kushok Bakula Rinpoche Airport, our representative will greet you and escort you to your hotel in Leh Town. After checking in, we recommend taking a day to rest and acclimate to the high altitude of Ladakh. Spend your first day in Leh adjusting to your new environment with leisurely walks around the hotel, avoiding strenuous activities to prevent altitude sickness. Relax and prepare for the exciting adventure ahead. In the evening, we will meet for dinner to introduce the tour highlights. Your overnight stay will be at a hotel in Leh, located at 11,650 feet (3,500 meters) above sea level. Get ready to embark on an unforgettable journey!
After breakfast, embark on a 6 to 7-hour journey to Turtuk, a remote village in northwest Ladakh, covering approximately 190 kilometers. Renowned for its stunning valley views and proximity to the border, Turtuk offers glimpses of the K2 mountain peak on clear days. Recaptured by the Indian Army in 1971, the village has close ties across the Line of Control. Upon arrival, explore the village and hear its history from the locals. After a full day of adventure, you will settle into a hotel or fixed camp in Hunder or Disket for the night.
